Hulu’s 8-episode limited series “The Dropout,” the story of Elizabeth Holmes (Amanda Seyfried) and Theranos, is an unbelievable tale of ambition and fame gone terribly wrong. Based on the true story of the rise and fall of Elizabeth Holmes and her health company, Theranos, The Dropout is adapted from the smash-hit podcast of the same name.
The first three episodes are set to air on Hulu, March 3rd, with the following five episodes released on a weekly-basis. The final episode is set to air April 7, 2022. For international audiences, the series will be released through the “Star” library on Disney+.
Critics have described The Dropout as being one of the best true-crime series released this year, citing the real feel of the series and the phenomenal acting of Amanda Seyfried; by the end of the series, questions arise around whether Holmes was simply a genius or a master manipulator who ran out of luck.
