TeaserPlay Releases Concept for GTA-Like Breaking Bad Game

Grand Theft Auto has largely ruled the gaming space for open-world games over the last couple of decades, but an innovative game designer has recently released a concept video for a Breaking Bad style version of the popular game.

For those unfamiliar with Breaking Bad, it follows the adventures of Walter White—a highschool chemistry teacher—and his former student, Jesse Pinkman, as they build the most profitable drug empire in the US after Walter is diagnosed with terminal cancer.

The series was a hit for Netflix and has become one of the best stories ever told, even gaining enough popularity for a movie, titled “El Camino” and “Better Call Saul”.

On the back of the series’ success, a fan of the series has crafted an open-world crime game that allows players to manage their own meth business all whilst exploring the stunning graphics and expansive open-world.

TeaserPlay, a game developer with 272k subsribers on YouTube, released this concept of the game on their YouTube channel, but unfortunately revealed that the game is just a concept and is unlikely to go anywhere serious.

Despite the remark that the game was just a concept, the video recieved thousands of comments from fans pushing for game publishers to pick up the game and see it through to a fully-fledged product.

One user commented “Concept video? At this point, if I put this much work into it, I’d say screw it and turn what I have into a game and put it out there for a publisher to pick up.” Whilst another user echoed the same sentiment and said “Given the amount of work invested in this concept, I would simply take the plunge and present it as a game for a publisher to consider“.

Considering the popularity of both Grand Theft Auto and Breaking Bad, it seems like an excellent idea to pitch the game to publishers. Breaking Bad remains popular even years after it finished airing.

For those seeking to fulfill their need for crime can look forward to the highly-anticipated release of Grand Theft Auto VI, which is currently under development at Rockstar Games.
